Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of bringing together a world-class team of executives, known for their inspiring work at companies such as Facebook, Google, Virgin America, and Netflix. Today, we’re thrilled to announce two key additions to our executive team who will help take Lyft to the next level: Kira Wampler, Chief Marketing Officer, and Brian Roberts, Chief Financial Officer.
Kira brings more than 20 years of marketing and product leadership, building great consumer experiences and accelerating business growth across a wide variety of industries. Most recently as CMO at Trulia, Kira launched the company’s first-ever national marketing campaign and led all consumer product and marketing efforts. Prior to Trulia, she served as VP of Marketing at Lytro, where she headed up marketing, product, sales, and international growth, while building a new category from the ground up. She also spent six years at Intuit in a variety of brand, performance marketing, and leadership positions. In her new role, Kira will lead Lyft’s brand strategy, growth, communications and consumer engagement efforts.
Brian joined us in October as SVP of Partnerships and Corporate Development and has since been promoted to CFO. He has more than 20 years of experience in senior executive roles at Walmart and Microsoft, as well as in investment banking as Senior Managing Director at Evercore. Most recently at Walmart, Brian oversaw a dozen acquisitions to expand @WalmartLabs and executed a milestone transaction to launch Walmart’s e-commerce efforts in China. In his career he has advised on approximately 100 strategic investments, acquisitions, and IPOs. As CFO at Lyft, Brian will now oversee the Finance, Strategic Partnerships and Data Analytics organizations.
Kira and Brian join a growing team of Lyft leaders who hail from the world’s leading brands, including:
- Jesse McMillin, Creative Director (former Creative Director at Virgin America)
- David Estrada, VP of Government Relations (former Legal Director at GoogleX)
- Chris Pouliot, VP of Data Science (former Director of Algorithms and Analytics at Netflix)
- Ron Storn, VP of People (former Senior Talent Leader at Facebook)
2014 has been an exciting year for the Lyft movement. Together, we’ll continue working hard to transform every car into an opportunity to share the ride and empower every driver to fill their empty seats and connect with people along the way.
