Let’s face it — if you like food, Portland is the place to be. No one knows this better than Lyft driver Bethany. For 14 years, Bethany has been making life sweeter as a pastry chef and baker in Portland.
During the workweek, you can find Bethany making delicious treats at Laurelwood Public House and Brewpub, but when she’s off the clock she heads to ¿Por Que No? for the best tacos in the city. According to Bethany, “People in Portland love to go out to eat, and go out in general. It’s not a city of homebodies — everyone’s out doing something.”
Bethany moved to Portland from Boston with her fiance to get out of the “big city life.” She wanted to move to a place that better suited her lifestyle and provided easy access to all the things she loved in one place: snowboarding, outdoor sports, wine tasting, and rollerblading.
Bethany’s #MySecretPortland Tip:
She recommends that visitors (and locals) head to Pier Park to explore the hills, gaze up at the Redwoods, and play a round of disc golf.
