Wine connoisseurs unite! The Denver International Wine Festival (DIWF) is back for its 12th year and better than ever.
“Wine Country Network, Inc. will be hosting the 12th Annual Denver International Wine Festival from November 2-4, 2016,” DIWF announced. “The three-day wine and food festival showcases the largest selection of international and domestic wines at any Grand Tasting in the Rocky Mountain region, and was recently named one of the “Top 10 Can’t Miss Fall Wine Festivals” in the U.S. by Fodor’s. This year, the DIWF moves to the newly opened Westin Hotel at The Denver International Airport, making the DIWF the world’s first fly in, fly out wine festival.”
The first event of this year’s DIWF will take place at Barolo Grill in downtown Denver on Wednesday, November 2. Attendees will experience a multi-course winemaker’s dinner with wines paired accordingly. All wines will be from Tenuta Sette Cieli of Tuscany and winemaker Elena Pozolini will be guiding guests through the wine selection.
On Thursday and Friday, festival goers can look forward to a Chef's Fine Food and Wine Pairing Competition and The Grand Tasting of International Wines and Food. At the food and wine pairing, attendees can sample food from Denver favorite eateries like Fruition and Beatrice & Woodsley. The Grand Tasting will feature food, wine and a silent auction with proceeds benefitting There With Care.
