Top 8 Spots to Catch a Game in the Bay

Top 8 Spots to Catch a Game in the Bay

Crazed fans and sports bars — they go together like SF and bread bowls. Over the next few months, the overlap of NFL and NBA games is sure to bring out the best (or worst) of every sports fan. But what better way to spend the moments of victory and heartache than with fans just as crazy as you? Request a Lyft ride and watch your team at some of our favorite Bay Area locations:

San Francisco

San Francisco Athletic Club: The name says it all. SF Athletic Club has the perfect game day set up with "bleacher" seating facing the big screen.

The Brick Yard: If you're looking to take your game day celebrations to the next level, The Brick Yard is home to one of the largest private event spaces in the city.

East Bay

Silver Pizzeria: Jump off the beaten beer and burger path and watch your game with a slice of pie. Silver Pizzeria prides itself on its original toppings (sweet potatoes and toasted walnuts to name a few) and live local music.

Diving Dog Brewhouse: What better way to cheer on your favorite team than with your favorite beer. At Diving Dog's you can B.O.P. - brew on premises. They provide the ingredients and instructions, all you have to provide is your game face.

Old Pro: Calling all Cardinal fans. Old Pro has been the go-to bar for Stanford students looking to celebrate a win, catch an away game, or take a ride on a mechanical bull.

Sneakers: With multiple leagues in season, it's inevitable that your team's game won't always be on screen. Sneakers' solution? A personal television in each booth. While you might not control the fate of your team, you can at least control the TV.

South Bay

Yard House: As a South Bay favorite, you can always count on Yard House to be packed with enthusiastic fans on game day who are cheers-ing to every touch down with a half yard glass (yes, it's as big as it sounds).

Firehouse No. 1 Gastropub: Come for the game, stay for the food (and booze). Firehouse's menu is home to tasty steaks, appetizers, and more. Not to mention their infamous Stop Light drink.
