St. Patrick's Day in SF

St. Patrick's Day in SF

Hello, springtime! Flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and the Bay Area is looking green. It’s the perfect time for one of our favorite holidays - St. Patrick’s Day!

This year we’re excited to share some Lyft luck with our East Bay Area drivers and passengers at the Dublin Festival. Lyft will be one of more than 200 vendors to partake in a day filled with Irish traditions, a festive parade and local celebs on Saturday, March 12th. If you’re looking for luck on the other side of the bridge, you can also join us at San Francisco’s 165th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival, also on March 12th. Be a part of the parade, check out the entertainment, and nab a sample of all things green… including the beer!

San Francisco also offers tons of opportunities to escape the crowds and celebrate the way any Irishman would - with a frosty glass of brew! Take a Lyft to one of our favorite local bars with a wee bit of that Irish spirit:

1. Johnny Foley’s

Enjoy nightly entertainment featuring local and national talent, as well as the city’s best dueling pianos performance. All while sipping on authentic Irish ales, stouts, and steams.

2. The Chieftain Irish Pub and Restaurant

Founded by pair of two brothers from Ireland, The Chieftain takes authenticity seriously - something you can be sure of when it comes to their "Perfect Pint" of Guinness.

3. The Irish Bank Bar and Restaurant

If authentic food and drink isn’t enough, The Irish Bank may be the place for you to satisfy all your Irish needs. Beyond its delicious food, these guys pride themselves on their romantic rural tavern look, inspired by the homelands of Ireland.

4. Blackthorn

What goes hand-in-hand with alcohol? Loud, cheering sports fans of course! Check out Blackthorn Sports Bar located in the Sunset District for some Irish drinks and nightly sporting events.

We wish everyone a safe and fun St. Patrick’s day, and remind you that Lyft is the safe, easy way to travel while celebrating. You drink, we drive. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
