Cinco de Mayo is here and if there's one thing San Francisco knows a thing or two about, it's celebrating traditions. But let's be real, nothing gets us more excited than a tradition that calls for margaritas and tacos on a Thursday night. This year we've queued up a list of our favorite Mexican spots in the city so you can eat, drink, and celebrate fiesta-style.
As one of San Francisco's newest sports cantinas, Bar San Pancho is a hidden gem located in the Mission. The best part? BSP is brought to you by the taco ninjas over at Tacolicious. That's right, you can sip on a drink, catch a game, and enjoy SF's favorite tacos. Even better, we're currently celebrating their grand opening with 20% off two rides to or from! Use the code 'BARSANPANCHO' to claim your discount.
If you're looking for an all day Mexican experience, Cadillac Bar and Grill is the place to be. This year their Cinco de Mayo celebration runs from 11AM - 11PM and includes mariachis, the Theatre Flamenco Dance Group, and salsa dancing! Newbie tip: be sure to order the puffy tacos. You won't be disappointed.
There's nothing better than a good food truck. Unless it's a lot of food trucks coming together with tacos. SOMA StrEat Food is celebrating with more than 10 food trucks through out lunch and dinner hours. Also be sure to check out their live Lucha Libre Wrestling Show at 12:30PM.
Celebrate with delicious Mexican food and some of the city's best (and strongest) margaritas. Velvet Cantina offers four types of margaritas, a never ending list of tequila choices, and beers and elixirs. Bonus: if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth, they even offer smores nachos! Yum!
Tropisueno keeps the Cinco de Mayo celebration alive with an annual Party in the Alley. Each year the party has brought Mexican food lovers together and this year will be no different. Join them from 1PM to closing for a live band, DJ, happy hour specials, and prizes.
Get out and celebrate, San Francisco! And don't forget to stay safe and ride with us. We'll be there from start to finish. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
