Sure, the weather will still be 72 and sunny for most of fall in LA, but the season change brings more fun and adventure for Californians. Below are ten things we love about fall in LA.
1. Fall Clothes
Regardless of weather, Angelenos do not miss an opportunity to “feel” the change of season. Hello boots, plaid and beanies! Take Lyft to The Grove or Beverly Center for some fall shopping if your wardrobe needs a refresh.
2. Farmers Markets
Fall is the perfect time to try out new, seasonal recipes, so why not include a taste of LA and use local produce? Check out Mar Vista Farmers Market, Original Farmers Market, San Vicente Boulevard Market in Brentwood, Pasadena Farmers Market and many more.
2016 marks a huge year for LA football as the LA Rams return. UCLA and USC also have exciting schedules this season! If you don’t follow an LA-based team, you can find your crowd at various tailgates happening across LA. Two words: Nacho. Plate.
4. Weekend Road Trips
Here in LA, we love a good road trip. Why not plan a fall getaway with friends to endless destinations only hours away? Plan a fall camping getaway with friends to Idyllwild, Joshua Tree, Sequoia National Park, San Luis Obispo, or Yosemite. Weekend wine trips to places like Temecula and Santa Barbara are also amazing.
5. Brewery Seasonals
A great thing about visiting a brewery, is the opportunity to taste seasonals. Head to spots like Angel City Brewery, Golden Road Brewing, Arts District Brewing, Firestone Walker Brewing, Eagle Rock Brewery to taste what’s brewing this fall.
7. Dia de los Muertos
Many celebrations are scheduled throughout LA to celebrate loved ones during the holiday. Check out Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s, happening October 29th from noon to midnight.
Bavarian music, German food and beer! Along with other events, we’re excited to head to Pomona Fairplex for their Oktoberfest, happening Fridays and Saturdays throughout October.
With the Emmys happening this month, the city of entertainment is gearing up for awards season. Comedy, movie premieres, and theater make LA one exciting town!
