In honor of National Cancer Survivor Day on June 4, we’re excited to announce Lyft and the American Cancer Society have partnered in Las Vegas to improve lives by helping people get to treatment.
Lyft will serve as the official rideshare partner for the American Cancer Society in Las Vegas, providing rides to and from doctor's appointments for those battling cancer. Starting in June, American Cancer Society will be using Lyft’s Concierge tool to dispatch safe Lyft rides to transport people to and from treatment. Concierge is Lyft’s third party web request platform which enables partners to request rides for their customers through the Lyft platform.
The American Cancer Society patients will also have the ability to request rides at the local Las Vegas ACS office through Lyft Concierge.
During the month of June, the American Cancer Society will also be offering select services through the Lyft Las Vegas Hub to help educate drivers about the disease and how ACS can help.
In addition, Lyft is encouraging its Las Vegas passenger and driver community to volunteer with the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery® Program, where people volunteer on their own time to give rides to cancer patients in need of transportation to the doctor.
