May is Military Appreciation Month, and to show our continued appreciation and support of our armed forces, we’ve partnered with the USO to provide opportunities for our troops and vets.
Starting this month, passengers can opt-in to round up their fare to the nearest dollar and donate the remainder to the USO, the program’s inaugural charity. This is initially available on Android with iOS coming soon.
Here in Las Vegas, we’re especially excited to partner with the USO to bring additional support to active military, military families, and veterans in the best way we know how: helping our community members become drivers.
During the month of May, Lyft will host a special driver information session at Nellis Air Force Base to educate those interested on the process of becoming a driver. In addition, the Lyft Las Vegas Hub will open on a Saturday to host an exclusive driver on-boarding session for active military, military families and veterans. For details on these programs, email USOVegas@uso.org or visit the Las Vegas USO website.
