Summer is officially here, which for many people means it's time for trips to the Jersey Shore. By looking at data from last summer, we compiled the top Lyft destinations for you to visit this year.
6. Point Pleasant
As soon as you set foot on the sandy beaches of Point Pleasant, you’ll feel like you’re far from home. The beautiful boardwalk and beach make Point Pleasant an ideal summer spot. Make sure to stop by Jenkinsons Pavilion to cool down with a frosty drink during a beach concert, and if you’re looking for a family-friendly or rainy day activity, head over to Jenk’s aquarium.
Home to nightlife, great food, a famous boardwalk, and museums, Wildwood has it all! Start your day with lunch at Crab & Seafood Shack, and follow up with Miss Chris Kayak & Paddleboard for some post-lunch activity.
4. Asbury Park
Asbury Park is home to the famed The Stone Pony, where New Jersey natives such as Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi have performed. Beyond the nice beaches, Asbury park has annual Fourth of July fireworks, an Oysterfest, and the world record-breaking NJ Zombie Walk. Mark your calendars now, because you won’t want to miss these great annual events.
You may remember Seaside from MTV’s The Jersey Shore. The boardwalk was built back up after Hurricane Sandy and is better than ever! Seaside is a great summer destination especially if you’re looking for family activities.
Known for the famous Bar A and D’Jais, Belmar has a fun and exciting nightlife. Before the night rolls around, stop by Playa Bowls and Surf Taco for dinner. If you’re in Belmar on July 12th, we highly recommend the Annual New Jersey Sandcastle Contest on Belmar Beach; it’s free to enter and the results are spectacular.
1. Atlantic City
With all that Atlantic City has to offer, it’s no surprise that it ranks as the number one Lyft destination at the Jersey Shore. Make sure to stop by Annette’s Restaurant for an unforgettable breakfast, or if you’re on the boardwalk, take a pitstop at the Hard Rock Cafe, AC.
