Atlanta: Your Summer Travel Guide

Summer is upon us in Atlanta, and that means killer patios, summer concerts in the park, and loads of outdoor (and indoor) activities for the whole family. Wondering where to go this summer for to bask in the sun and enjoy all the fun ATL has to offer? Grab your squad and explore our top summer drop-off destinations in the city. No need to worry about expensive parking or pesky traffic — we’ll make your summer travel a breeze.

1. Ponce City Market

Shopping, 25+ food options, a rooftop carnival with putt-putt, and a weekly farmer’s market? Count us in! PCM offers a ridiculous amount of fun stuff to do and delicious places to eat — it has a little something for everyone. Day or night, you can enjoy time with the family, or plan a romantic date for you & your S.O. It also serves as a bookend for ATL favorite, the Beltline, which means you can enjoy all the Market has to offer in or out-of-doors.

2. Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall

If you like to spend the sunset hours hanging on a gorgeous patio, look no further! Ladybird not only has a to-die-for menu, it also has an expansive patio area complete with twinkling lights strung overhead. Situated neatly between ATL’s most hip neighborhoods, it’s the perfect spot for a Lyft ride to drop you after a day of shopping in Little 5, or a night of partying in Edgewood. Brunch, anyone?

3. Virginia-Highland

The Virginia-Highland neighborhood is home to some of the most popular nightlife in ATL — seriously, Dark Horse Tavern won a Lyftie Award for being one of the busiest spots for Lyft in the A. The bars and restaurants peppering North Highland Ave offer killer eats and drink specials to keep you going all night long. No need for a D.D.: when you and your crew are ready to call it a night, Lyft will be there to get you home safely.

4. Piedmont Park

With the Summer Sessions concert series, multiple festivals, and even a few races sprinkled throughout the season, Piedmont Park is the perfect spot for a family outing or summer date night. Even if you’re avoiding the crowds, you can take a leisurely stroll through the gorgeous park grounds. To avoid the limited parking, let Lyft drop you at your favorite park entrance.

5. The Atlanta Beltline

Walk, run, or bike your way through the Atlanta Beltline. Spanning 22 miles, the beltline connects all of Atlanta’s neighborhoods and is the best way to experience the city’s unique artwork. Whether you want to walk to Victory Sandwich Bar to grab a Jack & Coke slushie or just experience the art installations like Tiny Door ATL, there’s something for everyone. Request a Lyft ride since parking is limited and start exploring!
