Boston: Your Summer Travel Guide

Boston: Your Summer Travel Guide

Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or planning your staycation, make the most of your time in Beantown and explore our top summer destinations with Lyft! From rooftop bars in the Seaport to relaxing Narragansett beaches, we’re sharing our top ride spots to make your summer travel a breeze.

1. Cape Cod

This is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or even just a day trip to the beach. The Cape is close enough to hop in a Lyft ride and enjoy a few hours in the sun, followed by a seafood dinner and drinks before heading back to Boston. We’ve got Cape Cod and the islands covered so you always have a ride when you need one.

2. Rooftop Bars

Rooftop bars are the place to be this summer in Boston. Head into the Seaport for a night out and a view of the water at Atlantic Beer Garden, Whiskey Priest, or Legal Harborside, or enjoy a cocktail with a city view at the Envoy Hotel’s Lookout Lounge, Market, Baseball Tavern or the Colonnade.

3. North and South Shore Beaches

The easiest way to hit the beach from Boston is by heading to the North Shore or South Shore. If you’re heading to the North Shore, don’t miss Good Harbor in Gloucester, Long Beach in Rockport, or Singing Sands in Manchester By the Sea. For the South Shore look for Nantasket in Hull, Duxbury Beach in Duxbury, and Brant Rock or Ocean Bluff in Marshfield. Parking is expensive and limited at many of these locations, so taking a Lyft ride is the easiest way to hit the beach both cash and hassle free.

4. Boston Common

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy the nice weather without leaving the city, Boston Common is it. The common is a great place to lie in the sun and picnic with friends, play softball, or attend a free performance of Shakespeare in the Common.

5. Newport

Another popular option for a quick getaway from Boston is to head down to Rhode Island. Newport is home to plenty of fun activities. You can tour the mansions, take a scenic ride down ocean drive, stroll the cliff walk, or check out one of the many boat tours.

No matter where you’re heading in New England this summer, Lyft is there with rides in minutes!
