To commemorate the Oregon Trail’s 175th anniversary, we’ve teamed up with Travel Oregon to bring both the Trail and the beloved game to life for Portlanders. From August 28-31, enjoy a 15-minute historical wagon tour through Portland’s South Park Blocks on us. The ride will be complete with pioneer guides, views of some of Portland’s oldest buildings, and a commemorative memento.
Simply head to the corner of SW Madison and Park, in front of the Oregon Historical Society, to hop on. The wagon rides will be free, but we suggest that you bring along a can or two of food for admittance. All food donations collected will be given to the Sunshine Division.
Ride the Oregon Trail Experience during these times in Portland’s South Park Blocks:
- 10 AM-2 PM Tuesday, August 28
- 10 AM-2 PM Wednesday, August 29
- 10 AM-2 PM Thursday, August 30
- 10 AM-2 PM Friday, August 31
Wagon rides will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. But even if you have to wait, we’ll have the space out front of the Oregon Historical Society equipped with a variety of activities, including a Pioneer-inspired photobooth, iPads pre-loaded with Travel Oregon’s new Oregon Trail Game (play it at home here), and more. Remember to share your experience riding the Trail using hashtag #OT175!
Get a free ride, up to $10, to the Oregon Trail Experience, and turn your cars in-app into wagons by applying the below code in your Lyft app.
