Help During Hurricane Florence

Help During Hurricane Florence

In response to Hurricane Florence, Lyft is committed to doing our part to help those in need.

First, we’re donating $25,000 to a Relief Rides program helping those in need move around  before the hurricane, as well as partnering with United Way’s 2-1-1 program.

  • In Virginia, we’re partnering with the office of Governor Ralph Northam to provide free rides using code VAFLORENCE18 for those evacuating to any official state or local shelter, up to $15

    • Valid between now and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12

    • To find official state and local shelters served, please call 2-1-1

  • In North Carolina and South Carolina, we’re partnering with United Way’s 2-1-1 program, where those evacuating can dial 2-1-1 and receive a ride code for free transportation, up to $15

    • Valid between now and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12

With safety as our number one priority, we continue to monitor the conditions and communicate with Lyft drivers, passengers, and government officials. As always, we look forward to providing rides to those who need them.

Our hearts go out to those impacted by Hurricane Florence.

Stay tuned for updates, including how we will be supporting our communities after the storm.
