Help During the Polar Vortex

In response to the polar vortex caused by Winter Storm Jayden impacting parts of the Midwest, Lyft is committed to doing our part to help those in need.

We’re activating our Relief Rides program to help those in need move around to warming centers in impacted areas, including Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Madison, Milwaukee, Detroit and Cleveland. We’ll also be partnering with city officials and United Way and 2-1-1 in select markets.

  • In Chicago, we’re partnering with the city and United Way of Metro Chicago to provide free rides to warming centers using code CHIJAYDEN19. Valid for 2 rides up to $25 per ride until Friday, 2/1 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

  • In Minneapolis-St. Paul, we’re partnering with with Greater Twin Cities United Way 2-1-1 to provide free rides to warming centers using code MSPJAYDEN19. Valid for 2 rides up to $25 per ride until Friday, 2/1 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

  • In Madison and Milwaukee, we’re partnering with United Way and Wisconsin 2-1-1 to provide free rides to warming centers using code WIJAYDEN19. Valid for 2 rides up to $25 per ride until Friday, 2/1 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

  • In Detroit, we’re partnering with the city and United Way of Southeast Michigan 2-1-1 to provide free rides to warming centers using code DTWJAYDEN19. Valid for 2 rides up to $25 per ride until Friday, 2/1 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
