Lyft is committed to empowering nonprofit organizations doing incredible work to make our communities stronger, healthier, and more equitable.
Driving Ottawa Organizations Forward
We know your organization has places to go, and we’d love to help get you there. Starting February 2019, registered Canadian charities in Ottawa will be eligible to apply for a Lyft Community Grant. Each month, one charity will receive a $1,000 grant in the form of Lyft ride credit to enhance regular or one-off programs.
For the month of February, we’re excited to announce that CHEO Foundation will be the first recipient of Ottawa’s Community Grant. The staff and volunteers at CHEO are on the frontline for our children’s health and wellbeing in Ottawa. As one of the most impactful organizations in the city, it is fitting that CHEO is the first recipient of this award.
“Fundraising support represents a vital source of funding for the specialized equipment, patient and family support programs, and research that enables CHEO doctors, nurses and staff to provide the exceptional care they are known for. We appreciate Lyft’s community leadership and interest in supporting CHEO,” says Jacqueline Belsito, VP Philanthropy and Community Engagement, CHEO Foundation.
Ready to apply? Fill out a short application and tell us how $1,000 in Lyft ride credit will help your organization. We will notify the winning organization no later than the 15th of each month, with the next winner to be chosen March 2019.
