This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lyft is working with healthcare providers nationwide to provide rides to and from free breast cancer screenings and appointments.
We believe that transportation should never be a barrier when it comes to healthcare. Lyft has long partnered with healthcare organizations across the U.S. to provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), and 29% of riders have used Lyft to access healthcare services.
Throughout October, riders will be able to receive free rides to and from breast cancer screenings and appointments in participating markets.

We know that there are 3.6 million missed healthcare appointments in the U.S. every year due to lack of transportation, and we partner with healthcare organizations in North America to address this need. Lyft’s VP of Healthcare, Megan Callahan, is spearheading this push and shared her own experience, which you can read more about here.
