Your Guide to Austin City Limits 2017

ACL Music Festival is back for two weekends this October (Oct 6-8 and 13-15), and with 75,000 attendees enjoying tunes across Zilker Park each day, navigating the largest music festival in the US is no small feat. Luckily, we’ll be there to help. Here’s how:

  • Avoid parking altogether — take Lyft to and from the festival.

  • Be on the lookout for Lyft’s “ACL Fest Survival Kits” in your Lyft ride. Packed with sunglasses, sunscreen, chapstick and more, you’ll be set with the essentials.

  • Drop by the Lyft Lounge located outside Zilkr on the Park Condos (Barton Springs Rd, just before the bridge) to take a pic with the Lyft VW Bus and grab swag, ride discounts, and more.

  • Keep an eye out for our Lyft Ice Bikes filled with cold treats to beat the Texas heat!

Are you an ACL Fest first timer? Here are a few pro tips to make this festival one to remember:

  • Drink water: Make sure to pack an empty reusable bottle. There will be a free water filling station at the festival.

  • Leave a little early: If crowds aren’t your thing, we suggest heading out 30 minutes before the festival ends to avoid post-show traffic.

  • Plan your lineup: Check out the lineup and make a schedule to avoid missing your favorite bands.

  • Stay with your crew: Create a buddy system and designate a meetup spot in case you get separated, because your phone may not have service. Some groups opt to bring a flag on a pole as a marker — if you do, make sure it’s completely unique to you and your group (ie: Don’t just bring a Texas flag).
