Olivia Wilde can do it all. Actor (Her, Meadowland, Drinking Buddies and more), philanthropist (Both Lyft and Olivia share a connection in our mutual support of the ACLU; Olivia being an active ACLU board member). And now director (Booksmart is her directorial debut, she previously directed music videos for Ed Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and The Red Hot Chili Peppers) which in addition to an ensemble cast led by Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein also includes her partner, Jason Sudeikis.
Olivia’s most recent accomplishment? Directing the latest Undercover Lyft episode, which also happens to feature Jason Sudeikis as a Lyft driver. (And Will Forte as a surprise passenger!)
“I had a great time putting my own spin directing Undercover Lyft, and adding a few surprises along the way,” says Olivia. “Lyft has been such a great partner on Booksmart since the very beginning and a long-standing supporter of the ACLU, so it was fun and meaningful to work with people who are as passionate about gender equality as I am.”
Watch as Jason, moonlighting as the fictitious high school principal from the film, drives unsuspecting passengers around Los Angeles, chatting about everything from supporting the ACLU and shared rides to the lost art of serenading.
Booksmart is in theaters May 24.
