Safety First

Our community’s safety is our top priority, and we meticulously built safety into every part of Lyft. All drivers must pass background and DMV driving record checks, and all vehicles are inspected during in-person training sessions. Fewer than 10% of driver applicants pass our strict screening process. With our two-way rating system, we track drivers’ feedback based on navigation, friendliness, safety, and cleanliness, and have a zero-tolerance policy. Learn more about safety.
