Austin’s musicians are what make the “Live Music Capital of the World” so unique. Yet many of them struggle to afford food, housing, and health care. If that bothers you, there's now something you can do about it!
Starting on November 6, passengers can help keep Austin’s music alive and well by tapping Round Up & Donate in the Lyft app. Donations will go to HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians) ensuring Austin’s low income and disabled working musicians have access to the health and wellness services they need to keep Austin rocking.
You can join in by going to ‘Settings’ in your app, tap ‘Round Up & Donate,’ choose HAAM as your cause, then take a ride. Opt in once and Lyft will automatically round up your fares to the nearest dollar and donate the difference.
HAAM is just one of the causes you can support when you ride with Lyft. By tapping Round Up & Donate, the Lyft community has contributed to some important causes, like standing up for civil liberties with ACLU and supporting service men and women on active duty through the USO.
So, go ahead: Hit the button. Ride with Lyft. Be a changemaker.
