L.A.: Your Back-to-School Survival Guide

L.A.: Your Back-to-School Survival Guide

Back-to-school season is upon us! To make sure you start the year off right, we’ve gathered the top tips you need to know for a picture-perfect school year in the city.

GO SEE

End your summer with a bang. Rally your friends and catch Florence + the Machine under the stars at the iconic Hollywood Bowl on October 16th. The dog days aren’t over just yet!

GO DO

We get it. You’re going back to school and will be buried in books, so the last thing you want to do is surround yourself with them, but The Last Bookstore in downtown L.A. is not just for bookworms. You’ll easily spend hours getting lost in a sea of rainbow colored books at this whimsical L.A. landmark. Don’t forget to head upstairs for some great photo ops in the book tunnel.

BE IN-THE-KNOW

Looking for a secret oasis to get some serious studying done? There are several sweet spots just a few blocks from the beach. Head on over to the TOMS flagship store on Abbot Kinney and enjoy free wi-fi and delicious coffee. Soak up the Venice Beach sun rays on their back patio. If it gets crowded, just walk across the street to Alternative Apparel and set up shop on their front patio (wi-fi is free).

Lyft will be on campus at USC, UCLA, and LMU throughout September so come say hi, grab swag, and get free Lyft credits! Follow Lyft on Snapchat to catch all the back-to-school adventures.
