A few months ago, Google Maps added a dedicated tab with information for rideshare services. Starting today, you’ll see Lyft as a go-to ride option. You can check an ETA, get a price estimate, and request a Lyft ride right within the Google Maps app on Android and iOS. Depending on where you are, you’ll be shown options for multiple types of rides, including Lyft or Line.
Just tap on the Lyft option in Google Maps and you'll be directed to the app with your pickup point and destination automatically populated.
We’re always working to make riding with Lyft easier and more affordable — and being able to request a Lyft ride seamlessly while you search in Google Maps is just the latest step.
