Open since 1983, A Just Harvest runs the longest standing, independently supported community kitchen in Chicagoland. They have been open consecutively since 1990 (9,400+ straight nights) and have served 1.5 million meals at the hands of tens of thousands of volunteers. A Just Harvest is also a key player in the areas of community and economic development and social and economic justice.
The 2nd Annual Sanctuary 5K celebrates and defends the racial, economic, religious, ethnic, and social diversities that are inherent to Chicago. The race will take place Saturday, June 24, in Rogers Park in northern Chicago. A Just Harvest needs 5 – 10 volunteers to help with race check-in and marshaling. (Better yet, put on your kicks and run/walk with us! Sign up here).
We'll give A Just Harvest $10 for every new user who uses their code and you'll get $5 your first three Lyft rides.
