In honor of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Lyft is partnering with Flatiron School to provide $100,000 in coding scholarships to women.
Lyft’s Inclusion and Diversity team and UpLyft Women employee resource group will award 25 women enrolled in the Flatiron School’s Online Web Developer Program scholarships that will cover half of their tuition.
Lyft is committed to helping close the gender gap in STEM careers.
Flatiron created its Women Take Tech Initiative to increase opportunity for future female software engineers and bring gender equality to tech — where women hold only 26% of computing jobs.
