Lyft employees, ambassadors, and drivers came together to show the Phoenix Valley community we care by giving back during the holiday season. The Lyft team was thrilled to pitch in at Central Arizona Shelter Services in December.
Central Arizona Shelter Services’ (CASS) mission is to empower men, women, and children with diverse needs to end their homelessness by providing shelter and supportive services. Especially during the holiday season, the shelter relies on donations and volunteers to help deliver its critical services to those most in need in Phoenix.
“We live in the Valley too, so this opportunity to give back to our community was really meaningful,” said Lyft driver Doss Powell.
Nationally, Lyft drivers have always sought to make a difference. Over the years, hundreds of Lyft drivers have paired up with community organizations and those in need to deliver acts of kindness, such as delivering “Lyft Kits” to the homeless and driving for Meals on Wheels.
The Phoenix Lyft team is committed to having a positive impact in our community. “Our volunteer event in December was not the first and will certainly not be the last initiative we undertake to invest in and support our community,” said General Manager of Lyft Phoenix, Drena Kusari.
