Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia has become synonymous with the Budweiser Made in America festival. While droves of people in other cities escape to the beach or mountains for the holiday weekend, Philadelphians and visitors flood the Ben Franklin Parkway, dressed head to toe in stars and stripes, to hear the top musical acts around.
This year, we’re excited to partner with the American Civil Liberties Union, Pennsylvania Chapter, for the Budweiser Made in America festival. For each of the first 5,000 rides taken to or from the festival, Lyft will donate $1.00 to the ACLU.
The ACLU works to protect citizen’s rights guaranteed by the constitution and its impact spans from voting rights to free speech. The ACLU will be gathering over 100 volunteers at the festival so make sure to stop by their tent to hear about their “Smart Justice” campaign and other great work they’re doing in the Pennsylvania area. You can also chat with the Lyft team and score some swag!
So to all of you Made in America festival-goers, say thank you to the ACLU this weekend and help make an impact by riding for a cause with Lyft.
Top tips for getting the most out of your Made in America festival experience:
Walk to the suggested pickup/drop-off spot. Avoid traffic road closures at the festival by walking to the suggested pick up or drop off location in the Lyft app.
Stop by the ACLU tent! Make sure to stop by to learn more about the current work being done by the ACLU of Pennsylvania and grab some Lyft swag.
Find your driver with Amp. To help find your driver more easily, the color in your Lyft app will match the glow of the Amp on your driver's dash.
Forget the FOMO. Have a performer you absolutely don’t want to miss? Schedule a ride up to 24 hours in advance to make sure you won’t be late for any of your must-see artists.
We'll see you there!
