Leave the car keys at home and let Lyft and Metrolink get you to where you need to go. Think of all the extra time you’ll now have on your morning commute: time to tackle your inbox, read a book, or simply look out the window and enjoy sunny Southern California.
Starting today, Lyft and Metrolink are teaming up to make that possible. In the next couple of weeks, look out for an email giving Lyft passengers two free round-trip rides on Metrolink. We’re also offering Metrolink passholders up to $50 in Lyft ride credit for rides to and from Union Station.
Especially in Los Angeles, not everyone lives within walking or biking distance of a Metrolink station. By partnering with Metrolink, we can provide greater access to the region’s commuter rail network.
“We believe Lyft is an important connector to public transit, especially in Southern California where not everyone lives within walking or biking distance to a station. Our partnership with Metrolink is an exciting opportunity to see how ridesharing and transit can work together to become a viable alternative to car ownership and driving alone,” said Lyft’s Southern California General Manager Derek Kan.
“In Los Angeles, not everyone lives within walking or biking distance of a Metrolink station. By partnering with Lyft, we can provide greater access to the region’s commuter rail network,” said Metrolink Deputy CEO Elissa Konove.
Since our founding, Lyft’s has worked to improve people’s lives through the world’s best transportation. And through our Friends With Transit campaign, we’ll continue to work together with public transit to reimagine your commute. Ride on, SoCal.
