With veterans like Duran Duran and newcomers like Tenement slated, this year’s lineup will make you want to live up summer’s last days.
While all of the acts are fantastic, we’ve picked our favorites that you can't afford to miss. Wishing you had tickets to the big show? Head to our Twitter for a chance to win a pair of weekend-long passes!
Tame Impala. This Aussie band’s laid-back synths are perfect to groove to alone or surrounded by thousands of festival-goers. With hits like “Feels Like We’re Only Going Backward” and “Let It Happen,” they’re sure to strike a chord with rock and psychedelic fans alike. By all accounts, they’re incredible live, and we can’t wait to see them on day two of MFNW.
Ice Cube. With Straight Outta Compton released last year, it’s safe to say Ice Cube has captured the nation’s attention. Regardless of if you’re an NWA fan, an aficionado of Cube’s recent work, or unfamiliar with him entirely, take advantage of this opportunity to see one of the forefathers of hip hop live.
Liv Warfield. With soulful tunes that make you think of Aretha, Liv Warfield will break up this year’s predominantly rock lineup. Festival-goers will relish in her unique funk/soul sound, and be moved by her heartfelt melodies.
STRFKR. Love to dance like nobody’s watching? Then you can't miss STRFKR’s set on day one of MFNW. The mosh pit is sure to turn into a massive dance party as soon as they take the stage.
Tenement. Reminiscent of the Kooks, Tenement brings a British-rock vibe that is sure to wow MFNW attendees. Their Queen-like harmonies and upbeat melodies will have you tapping your toes and singing along.
