The Brahmin: Boston’s Most Visited Restaurant

Boston’s The Brahmin has been described as “the only place in town with both crystal chandeliers and tater tots.” If you think that sounds magical, you’re not alone — it’s the winner of Boston's Most Visited Restaurant in our 2015 Lyftie Awards.

This trendy venue gets its name from “the Boston Brahmins,” a 19th-century term for the elite upper class. But you don’t need to be an aristocrat to have a good time here. It’s a classy space with moderately-priced drinks, a killer selection of small plates (Exhibit A: short rib grilled cheese bites), and a dance floor that doesn’t quit. Pro-tip: Looking to have a mellow dinner? Come a bit earlier, as the place transforms into a lively nightclub around 10 on the weekends. Or embrace it, grab a few cocktails, and dance off those tater tots.
