The Frying Pan: New York City’s Most Visited Bar

Looking for the perfect summer bar in NYC? Join the rest of Lyft’s New York community and drop anchor at The Frying Pan. This docked Coast Guard lightship-turned-NYC bar and restaurant was the winner of most visited bar in NYC in our 2015 Lyftie Awards.

After sitting underwater for three years in the Chesapeake Bay, this early 20th-century ship was yanked out of the water, brought down to New York, and given new life as the Frying Pan at Pier 66.

The Frying Pan is only open from May to October, so hit the patio to enjoy music and watch the sun set with a beer in hand. Take it from the staff — order the lobster roll and peel-n-eat shrimp to start and top it off with a Hudson Cooler (prosecco, chambord, and grapefruit — hello, summer happy hour).

Learn more about The Frying Pan on their website, and check out all of our 2015 Lyfties Winners for more places to visit across the country.
