It's Labor Day weekend and you weren't able to make it to the beach. Don't worry, there's plenty to do in and around DC this holiday weekend. We've put together five things to do in DC just in case you've procrastinated:
Head to the Ballpark
Monday, September 5, the Washington Nationals go to battle with the Atlanta Braves at 4:00 PM. The Nats are still running strong in first place in the NL East, with the Braves sitting in fifth. Grab Washington National Tickets today.
Hit the Georgetown Waterfront
Take in the sights, sounds, and smells of Georgetown this holiday weekend. One thing that is a must-visit is the Key Bridge Boathouse. At the Boathouse, you can rent kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. In addition to touring the monuments, try paddle yoga on a standup paddleboard.
If the water isn’t for you, then give a Segway a try! City Segway Tours is one of the most exciting ways to travel around the city. It’s inexpensive, fun, and totally unique.
Drink and Eat on a Rooftop
Enjoy the DC Summer heat before it’s fall and pumpkin spice lattes are flooding your newsfeed. There’s a plethora of rooftop bars, pools, and restaurants to take in, but we’ve already done the hard work and selected five of our favorites: Marvin, Donovan, Brixton, Embassy Row Hotel, and Jack Rose.
Enjoy the Labor Day Weekend Music Festival
The festival is presented by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. It takes place Friday through Sunday at the Historic Lincoln Theatre. More than 10 artists will be present. And did we mention it’s completely free? RSVP here.
